Any one else getting high numbers of computation error on 42xxx WUs ? No errors noticed on these WUs.More or less a constant stream with the longer run-time. They do take significantly more time (0.3-0.4h) to process than the 11xxx and 12xxx-series WUs did (0.04-0.07h) on my GTX 1060 6GB for less than 2x the points when running 2 concurrently with 1 CPU each at a 90W Power limit so perhaps it's time to try 1 task per GPU again. ![]() AMD - 2600x, 2 x 2700, 2700x, 3900x, 3950x, 2 x 5900x, 5950x Intel - E3-1231v3, 9900K NVidia - GTX 1060 6GB, 1660ti, 1070ti; RTX 2060, 2060s, 2070a, 5 x 2070s [Edit 1 times, last edit by gordonbb at May 31, 2021 3:12:01 PM] |

I'm getting them everyday on all my machines where GPU computing is enabled. Make sure that GPU computing is enabled in the profile used by your machine - to be checked on WCG site).
----------------------------------------First releases were, as usual, beta testing units, sent to everybody enrolled to beta tests and having compatible hardware. Normal way of working requires you to have correctly configured GPU computation setting in your WCG profile. ![]() |

You need to accommodate BOINC's backoff mechanism. When you don't have any cache of work or have returned any recent work, BOINC stops asking for work until it only asks for work once a day.
----------------------------------------If you don't happen to hit the OPNG buffer at that time when it has work, you won't ask for work till the next day. Rinse and repeat and you get no work. You need to either manually request work sporadically throughout the day to get lucky in hitting the work buffer when it is full, or you need to run the boinccmd --update command on a regular schedule through a scheduled task or script. As long as you have current work in your cache or constantly return finished work, you will request new work at every scheduler connection. ![]() A proud member of the OFA (Old Farts Association) |

I'm noticing a lot more GPU work in the last 18 hours as well. Another stress test?
I might have to go back to two GPU tasks if this keeps up. These work units are definitely chewier than ones I've recently seen. No errors or invalid units so far, and one server aborted that validated successfully before I could crunch it. |

Its pouring in now it seems! |

Looks like it might have just been a lucky streak for me, as they finally ran out a couple of hours ago. Still, the more crunched, the better...
