Re: Work unit availability

do you notice that these low credit tasks ran much faster than before?

They were slightly faster but not 5x faster. A quick check of 4 showed 32+ jobs in each task. It's not a big deal but we found a problem similar to this in beta with points and invalid tasks and Keith had to make some adjustments. Maybe just some funky batches. If there is something wrong he'll fix it. If not we'll keep chugging along.

biggrin Re: Work unit availability

I have three intel GPUs that are having hard time getting WUs.
OpenCL: Intel GPU 0: Intel(R) HD Graphics 4600 (driver version 20.19.15.5063, device version OpenCL 1.2, 1630MB, 1630MB available, 200 GFLOPS peak)

OpenCL: Intel GPU 0: Intel(R) UHD Graphics (driver version 27.20.100.8935, device version OpenCL 3.0 NEO, 6454MB, 6454MB available, 221 GFLOPS peak)

OpenCL: Intel GPU 0: Intel(R) HD Graphics 520 (driver version 26.20.100.7262, device version OpenCL 2.1 NEO, 3206MB, 3206MB available, 192 GFLOPS peak)

When I check the eventlog, the line that catches my eye is :
15.4.2021 18:30:15 | World Community Grid | can't fetch Intel GPU: project is backed off

is there something I could do about this or just wait? Two of the machines have never received a gpu work unit (over a week now) and one has received five.

E: other machines are receiving a fair amount of nvidia WUs and so many AMD WUs my olt laptop cant keep up

I guess the main thing is to turn CPU usage off from the settings in web. Then check from the eventlog that your computer connects to project often enough. If there's great gaps (like I had hours) schedule a script to run every 5 or 10 minutes to update project status

"c:\Program Files\BOINC\boinccmd.exe" --project http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/ update

yesterday I processed 1133 tasks.

I have 5 hosts, so that's about 225 tasks per day per host.
across the 5 hosts, i have 24 GPUs, so it's less than 50 per day per GPU.

using the same command biini mentioned, on a loop every 5 mins.
