Strange. I only excluded the BOINC Data Folder and boinc.exe. My Antimalware Service Executable runs at 0 (if i only run BOINC). On the other hand i'm just running six tasks.

Like mbotmiller, I suspect this is due to a Microsoft Windows update. Unfortunately, I have not found a way around it besides replacing the anti-virus. I am running 16 copies of this (20 CPU system). I wonder if that has something to do with it, although it was not a problem for several months.

I've had it with Windows defender. Nothing new arrives on my PC (if it does I upload it to Virustotal to check if it is safe) and still it is scanning over and over, so I installed a little program called Defender Control, that stopped it for good! I would not encourage you to disable virus and malware checking but that's what I did.
