"Can't connect to local host" is the message I get when using the
boinccmd --get_taskscommand in the terminal to check the status of ongoing OpenPandemic work units. This problem just appeared today and occurs on two Raspberry Pi Zeros that have been running the COVID-19 project for several months without difficulty. The two Pi Zeros are connected to my local network and run headlessly (no monitor or keyboard are attached). Both have the most recent Raspberry Pi OS installed. Any suggestions to solve this problem would be greatly appreciated. |

I only had that issue when I set up boinc on a new linux server after putting up firewall rules and drop everything else. Check if you got a firewall active and if so, whether localhost connections are allowed (had to explicitely add that). Also check that boinc is actually running.

Maybe you need to give the password, unless your in the working directory:
boinccmd --passwd xyz ..get_tasks |

I finally got the two Pi Zeros running the OpenPandemics-COVID-19 project again. Both Pi had no space left on the uSD cards. I reinstalled the Raspberry Pi OS and all seems to work normally.
Thank you, Landorin and mjan, for your replies. I appreciate your help. |
