empty computer preferences window on Ubuntu

Hi there,
I recently switched from windows to Ubuntu, so I’m new to Linux but a good learner. I’m running Ubuntu 20.04.2 and Boinc Manager 7.16.6. I am trying to change the compute preferences for this machine locally. But the windows is clear, showing no options. See screenshot... any ideas?
Thanks a lot!

Sorry, don’t know how to add images :-/

OK, so the preferences window is blank - how about the projects and tasks Windows?

I’m just trying to confirm that the manager has made a connection with the client. I have a setup identical to yours and after every reboot I have to manually connect the two before I can see any data.

Re: empty computer preferences window on Ubuntu

The projects and the task window looks normal, almost as I know them on windows or Mac. An it’s computing...

Confirmed for Debian's 7.14.2 in Simple View. The notices window is also affected.

any ideas?
Use Advanced View.
