Whatever you change on the My Projects page applies to all existing profiles, which is the intend of the page, to quickly mod all. You can create additional profiles, unofficially, and only at WCG, tolerated as it creates mappings that don't port to other projects, which home/work/school and default do. BOINC is open source, no one is stopped from making the case and write the model, it's volunteer development at that. Nobody is paid to sit down and do it would there be consensus. As yet though not seen any discussion from Berkeley suggesting it made it onto some central wish list.
