Here in Sweden I can only wish the governmen would act, a lockdown is a good thing if you really want to cut the paths of infection for the virus.

I'm in Beijing, China. It's all free and we are not even required to wear masks now. The lock down took about 2 month to take effect. I'd stayed at home for 2 months except for grocery shopping at a local store. Actually it wouldn't have to be that long if everything is planned well.

I'm in China and the lockdown is gone. The lockdown is an extreme measure to take when there are too many infection cases. In hindsight, I think lockdown is just the easiest way but not the best way to fight this virus. IMHO, there's no need to lockdown. The best way is like this: 1. Wear a mask. 2. Social distancing. 3. Carry sanitizer (or anything with the same effect) and sanitize whenever there's a possibility of infection, e.g. touching the button in an elevator 4. Wash hands and clothes after going out, especially after contacting others. Wash/sanitize everything you purchase before consuming. If most people can do this, there's no need to worry about those who don't wear masks unless they cough into your face. The only problem is it will take longer than lockdown. The biggest challenge is companies/factories/diners/businesses need to change their operations procedures and that needs talented people. So far I don't really see many. During the lockdown in China, our government banned courier delivery going into communities. That was the dumbest thing to do. In this situation, 1-to-1, point-to-point service is the best way of stopping mass transmission. The possibility of being infected in a supermarket is much much higher than contacting with just one delivery guy. And the authority encouraged the public to use public transport instead of taxi or Uber, saying the buses and tube were all sanitized regularly. That was awefully wrong too. A taxi/Uber car only takes a few passengers a day while a bus or tube....OMG. Too bad not many people think logically.
