Dear fellow crunchers,
Having read the thread https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread_thread,42745 I became aware, which problems Win10 can cause on an impressive machine. I would like to propose closing the forum "BOINC Agent Support" and opening one forum named "BOINC Agent Support - Linux systems" and another "BOINC Agent Support - Windows Systems". There is a separate forum for Android already, and it would only be logic to seperate Linux from Windows, too. The advantages would be: As you can search each forum seperately, the number of search results woud decrease, making it easier for everyone to find the information needed. It would possible to compare Linux and Windows, as we could see clearly, which of those systems has more threads. And we could see clearly the differences as far as the topics of those future threads are concerned. Thank you for any comments. |

Hi Martin,
----------------------------------------I do not share your view, since the most questions and remarks reported on the "Boinc Agent Support" forum are at first related to Boinc it-self. Maybe a specific thread for Windows / Windows 10 could help to maintain a better overview. Otherwise it could be a dedicated forum for Windows "trouble shooting" however without replacing the current "Boinc Agent Support" forum. Cheers, Yves |
