Don't get more than 130 work units

Hi,
some weeks ago I recognized that BOINCs does no longer receive more workunits than CPU cores are available. BOINC says, all projects have no work available an I've reached a maximum of WUs. Before then, I got as much work as I set in the preferences for X days. Simulating more CPUs in cc_config.xml leads to a maximum of 130 Wus. There is no limit in the project's preferences. I also checked <on_frac> in client_state(_prev).xml, much HDD space is available and so on. I tried on 4 PCs so I believe this problem is connected with my account. Does anyone has a special advice for me?

Thanks!
Fritz

DLing more WUs than you can finish in 24 hours delays the project.
Check your Device Profiles.

Re: Don't get more than 130 work units

What is the meaning of "hamstering" so many WUs?
It causes only troubles and unnecessary delay, especially by result validation.
I am currently working with a maximal buffer of 1.5 day, effectively between 14 and 23 hours, depending of the machine.
In the past, I maintained a 2 day buffer because of poor internet connection.
You should not create problems where they are not existing.
Cheers,
Yves

No one is to get a guilt trip angst attack about this. WCG grants 7 to 10 days for original work units and gives them 3.5-5 days deadline if in a rush.

FritzB, officially the limit is about 65-75 downloadable units per allowed computing core on a device with an overall maximum of 1000. Report one, get a back fill. That works as long as no error results are returned. Whilst WCG loves work returned ASAP, there is positively no must as else they would not be granting 7-10 days deadline.

And that's my POV.
