Re: Planned Maintenance on Wednesday, September 16, 2020

Last week we did an offline scan and found some issues with the filesystem. It creates a patch file that we were hoping would be able to fix these things online. However, this was what I attempted to do on Friday and it did not fix everything. To correct the few remaining issues the filesystem will need to go offline again. Since the original offline scan only took a few hours, we are planning for this one to be about the same time. I padded it by a couple of extra hours because it's better to prepare for it being a little bit slower due to actually correcting problems.

The end goal here is that we have migrated 99.99% of the data from older storage, to newer larger disks. However, it shows that we still have 0.01% still left on the old disks and are trying to correct those to get the filesystem back to 100% healthy and only on the new storage system.

Thanks,
-Uplinger

Re: Planned Maintenance on Wednesday, September 16, 2020

Patch file is being created at the moment, this step is estimated to take about 2 hours. After this I will have to examine the patch file and apply the fixes, I am unsure of the timing for that step.

Thanks,
-Uplinger

Patch file has been created. I have applied the fixes. I am doing a scan to make sure that everything is in it's proper place. I'm going to start this process offline and see if that'll help it finish quicker.

Thanks,
-Uplinger

Scan for files is still going, from what I can tell it probably has another 30 minutes left. I'll turn things back on when things are complete. Thanks again for your patience.
