Updating Device Profile and subsequent client upload

when modifying my device profile on the server (web page), how and when does this information get uploaded to my machine?

For example, I've increased my diskspace from 1G to 2G and on the server this happens, but in the program running on my machine it is not updated (and so presumably is not making use of this increase in disk).

And a related question, where is this disk space allocated? Can I specify which disk drive on my computer this space should occupy?

The client will update next time it has completed a task and connects to the server.

Re: Updating Device Profile and subsequent client upload

tragic, since my next task is going to take something around 80 cpu hours. a rather long time to have to wait for implementation of a change that will speed it up, don't you think?

too bad there's not an "update device profile from server" button on the client screen.

and any word on where exactly the disk storage locates itself?

Re: Updating Device Profile and subsequent client upload

The software will only recognize the free space on the partition on which it is installed. If you have a drive/partition with more free space that you want the software to use, you must install the software to that drive/partition.
