Why do I get such different points for tasks running nearly the same time?

Hi everyone,

this weekend my machine calculated a couple of ARP tasks and I got very different points. Here is an overview:

ARP1_ 0010965_ 022_ 0-- DESKTOP-KM0EOO2 Valid 8/30/20 00:33:43 8/30/20 19:47:01 13.38 / 13.57 640.2 / 631.7

ARP1_ 0001576_ 022_ 1-- DESKTOP-KM0EOO2 Pending Validation 8/29/20 11:26:16 8/30/20 00:33:43 12.97 / 13.08 617.2 / 0.0

ARP1_ 0011192_ 022_ 0-- DESKTOP-KM0EOO2 Valid 8/28/20 20:18:57 8/29/20 11:26:16 13.56 / 13.70 665.4 / 665.3

ARP1_ 0017613_ 021_ 0-- DESKTOP-KM0EOO2 Valid 8/28/20 05:56:05 8/28/20 20:18:56 12.83 / 12.92 109.7 / 352.6

ARP1_ 0015035_ 021_ 1-- DESKTOP-KM0EOO2 Valid 8/22/20 20:02:01 8/23/20 11:32:47 12.52 / 12.61 107.7 / 441.7

Task 1 to 3 received over 600 points, task 4 and 5 just about 100. All five tasks run nearly the same time! Is there anybody who can explain this difference? It happens at MCM project, too.

All the best

Klaus

Re: Why do I get such different points for tasks running nearly the same time?

First, put those jobs in chronological order, and note the first 2 your machine claimed a silly low number in the 100 range, maybe because the client benchmark was off? Then as the machine learns about ARP1, it claims much higher from the 3rd job, which look to be the normal numbers.

There's statistics involved to determine if a claim is an outlier at which time the grand is adjusted up or down.

What you get on quorum 2 (MCM+ARP) generally is what your machine claims and what the wingman claims, so 100 + 600 becomes the average of the 2, 350.

In a nutshell.
