Re: Atheist, Agnostic, Humanist and Non-Religious Team

Edit: @adriverhoef

Thanks lad, I'm not the worst at perception ;)

And yeah, I'm Dutch and it's me mother tongue. But I speak and read too much English, people think I don't speak Dutch at times... when I am addressing them in it. Bloody sucks. But well, I like English ^^

@Adri

Just me being an atheistic Satanist and card carrying member of The Satanic Temple. You know, the kind of Satanism that does not believe in god or the devil. Am still an agnostic atheist ;)

Also, well spotted. Is this a perception contest? love struck

*puts on perception boosting gear*

Umm, well, you got me just a teeny weeny little bit confused there, NonSum, since Satan and the Devil seem to be one and the same (see Wikipedia), so if you say you have a membershipcard of The Satanic Temple, doesn't that make you a dedicated follower of Satan then, in whom you don't believe (that's logic derived from your statement "the kind of Satanism that does not believe in god or the devil" and from Wikipedia's statement 'Satan = the Devil'), or is my perception wink faulty?

Re: Atheist, Agnostic, Humanist and Non-Religious Team

From the Temple FAQ :
"DO YOU WORSHIP SATAN?

No, nor do we believe in the existence of Satan or the supernatural. The Satanic Temple believes that religion can, and should, be divorced from superstition. As such, we do not promote a belief in a personal Satan. To embrace the name Satan is to embrace rational inquiry removed from supernaturalism and archaic tradition-based superstitions..."

From the Temple FAQ: https://thesatanictemple.com/pages/faq

Sometimes you've gotta go to the horse's mouth...

Re: Atheist, Agnostic, Humanist and Non-Religious Team

guess I'll quickly introduce meself. I'm Vanessa from the Netherlands (Hey Adri ;)) and am a Humanities student at uni with a more technical background from secondary and polytechnic/HBO...Maybe you could introduce yourselves as well? Would be cool to know with whom I'm on the team!

Hi Vanessa, I'm Marcus from England. Currently fighting what feels like a losing battle to get us back into the EU. I voted to stay in because leaving would be a disaster and it has been.

Hey Marcus, I really like England and the British Isles in general. It sucks that we can't come over without a visa, but I don't follow the news for my mental health and thus don't know what's going on. However, I did see a picture of empty shopping shelves, so I can imagine that the trade has halted a bit.

Thank you for fighting the good fight :)
