Wider Reach vs Digital Marketing Donations

Following a previous post on contacting media outlets to promote WCG, I've noticed the time it takes is rather long.

Instead, I was curious if any collaborations have been made with digital marketing agencies where they donate their time/money to help spread the message for WCG?

As in, instead of 'donating' money or time, they 'donate' their services.

Re: Wider Reach vs Digital Marketing Donations

Hi, introspection. We appreciate your reaching out to media outlets in your area to promote OpenPandemics and World Community Grid. You're right that it definitely can take awhile for publicity to pan out, especially right now when there's so much going on in the world.

Since we're part of IBM (a for-profit company), we can't solicit or accept free services, not even to help promote our projects. Instead, we work with our colleagues in IBM Public Relations to get the word out. Most publicity is just a matter of timing, and if/how World Community Grid fits into what's happening in various parts of the globe.

Thanks for your support!

Thanks caitilarkin for the unique context. That is interesting to know and will keep this in mind. I guess the most I can do is continue reaching out to local media outlets and forward them onto the IBM public relations team.
