Plea for support: Making Agrisolar more known and popular
As we are here in a scientific website, eveyone knows that climate change is real and we have to fight it. Solar panels are one way to achieve this. But, if we build to many solar arrays on farm land, we will have not enought food to feed an increasing population One solution to this conflict of goals (in German Zielkonflikt) is Agrisolar This is a relatively new way of building solar arrays. The panels are placed on metal frames in a height of some two meters above the ground. Plants can be grown under those solar panels This method can be very helpful for arid and desert arreas, because the shadow of the solar panels cools the air and recduces water loss, loss of irigation water. It is not a pivate firm that offers this method, but the scientific Frauenhofer Gesellschaft. Please find more info here: https://www.ise.fraunhofer.de/en/key-topics/i...oltaics/agrivoltaics.html Could you please send out the word about Agrisolar, especially spread the word in rural farming communities in the south? Thanks for any help. Are any farmes here, listening, please? Thank you, this is non profit. |

I have a friend who is a farmer in north Florida. He promotes sustainable farming. His father was a former governor of Florida, Lawton Chiles.

Let us rise up and be thankful, for if we didn't learn a lot today, at least we learned a little, and if we didn't learn a little, at least we didn't get sick, and if we got sick, at least we didn't die; so, let us all be thankful.
