WCG Boinc program goes blank

I've been having a problem for the last 2 versions. When the program runs for several hours I will check it only to find that all of the tabs are blank. I try clicking on options to suspend the program but the menu wont load. It's still crunching numbers but it wont show me what it's doing. Sometimes I get a message that the password is incorrect, still blank tabs.
If I use the Windows task manager to end WCG. I can then restart the program and it will show my progress and tasks like normal. I've tried the uninstall and reinstall route but that didn't work. The second install actually forgot to install the icon for the program so I have a blank white page icon on my desktop and it shows on my taskbar.

The secondary thing that is frustrating is that when I suspend a project it seems to randomly restart at a later day. Now I have a new project called NumberFields@home that I never signed up for. I had to suspend it and reset it. I only want to run WCG and Rosetta but there are 3 other projects that I can not remove.

I run Windows 10 64bit with an AMD 3700x and Nvidia 1060.

Re: WCG Boinc program goes blank

Sounds like the BOINC Manager is loosing connection to the BOINC client. The BM at right hand bottom will give some message as to what it is such as "connecting to ...".

Loosing the connection does not stop the actual computing, but the constant attempting of reconnecting might cause intermittency i.e. one or the other problem.

It sounds like your client is somehow connected to an Account Manager like one of Grid Republic or BOINCStats Account Manager (BAM). That could be driving the adding of other projects, but only if you set those project up at the account manager.
