So, yeah, I have results pending. Some are pending validation and others are pending verification. Does anyone know what the difference between the two is?

So, yeah, I have results pending. Some are pending validation and others are pending verification. Does anyone know what the difference between the two is? The help section explains validation here: https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/help/viewTopic.do?shortName=points#174 If you look at your Pending Validation results - click on the result name. You should see another WU having been sent out to another device, to validate the result. In other words - to ensure accuracy, 2 copies of the same Work Unit were sent out, to validate your device, or someone else's. It happens - and helps ensure the work our devices are sending are good. https://wcg.fandom.com/wiki/Result_status_codes Pending Verification is far more rare, but it happens when the validator isn't certain that the results it received are valid. So it sends out an additional copy to another device. Formerly known as 'Inconclusive', the result was returned to the server and validation was attempted but the system could not determine which result(s) it should consider to be the valid ones. One or more supplemental tasks were sent out. Validation will be attempted again when these extra results are returned.  |

On my side, I do prefer "Inconclusive" since I think that it is a clearer term and, at the same time, it avoids to have two status sharing the same acronym "PV".

Wondering what will happen. Four tasks belonging to one workunit. Two tasks are Pending Verification, one is showing No Reply, mine is still running.
Question: Will my task receive credits based on the sum of the two finished tasks divided by two? (That would be 304.8 / 2 = 152.4 credits) $ wcgstats -w -m2 -s0 -p6 -H Project Name: OpenPandemics - COVID 19Answer: Not really.
