Looks like boatloads of finished WUs now end up in PVa/PVe jail... Ralf This is to be expected until your machine(s) are considered reliable again. Probably a day or less for you. Cheers Ralf |

Cheers Ralf A little after Uplinger fixed the validator, I had about 15 pages awaiting validation, but now I am down to 8 pages. Some of the delay is going to be your wingman finishing his/her work unit. If that wingman maintains a queue of several days you unit will sit in pending status for that long. Even though your machines may be efficient, you are at the mercy of the wingman until your machines are back on trusted quorum 1 status. Once on the trusted status most subsequent units will self validate except for those few the system periodically checks for validation and verification. Let us know if if it continues to increase. Cheers

Some of the delay is going to be your wingman finishing his/her work unit. If that wingman maintains a queue of several days you unit will sit in pending status for that long. I was waiting for some way to introduce an activity that I do to improve the wingman performance/reputation (and also puts a little fun in the crunching task). When I get a WU with a _1 or _2 ending (which I will call wingman WU), I select all the "Ready to start" before the wingman WU plus one of the "Running" WU and then select the "Suspend" command on the left side. This will suspend all the "Ready to start" WUs plus one "Running" WU which will force the wingman WU to start to run. The only thing left to do is select the "Resume" command on the left and all the suspended WUs will return to their previous status. It puts a little more spice into the crunching task.CJSL Happily crunching... |

I was out of the house most of the day (and not at home, but house, dog and chicken sitting for a friend) but when I checked a few minutes ago, the amount of WUs in PVa/PVe jail went from about 13% of total number of WUs (by page count) to about 12%, within the last 18h or so. Let us know if if it continues to increase. Cheers Normal, since mainly crunching OPN1, was about 1%-1.5%, maybe 2% tops... Ralf |

Can someone explain how my laptop becomes reliable again? Is there anything I have to do (knowing I'm not at all savvy about hardware), or will this sort itself out under the hood?

Can someone explain how my laptop becomes reliable again? Is there anything I have to do (knowing I'm not at all savvy about hardware), or will this sort itself out under the hood? Basically, every time you return a result, if you return X in a row that are valid. Then your machine is given a reliable rating. Also, the frequency in which it returns results. Basically, you should be able to just have your machine run normally and it'll become reliable again if it was before. Thanks, -Uplinger |
