Mike, without the error result log not very meaningful neither the topic. What is 'Error' as topic going to mean to anyone parsing the list of recent threads.

Did the BOINC event log say something around that timestampINFO:[12:21:53]) like "output file absent"? Certainly looks like a crashed restart after 20 dockings completed.

Event log was a 1-liner: 26/05/2020 12:21:56 | World Community Grid | Computation for task OPN1_0000848_01073_1 finished That doesn't look like a problem to me. Mike |

In some other science's logs there would actually be a line that says how many dockings/folds are packed in a task. 12:21:53 it says End AutoDock right after finishing docking number 19, aka the 20th and then it decides to nevertheless do a Start again as if trying to launch dock 0. The exit code -1 (0xffffffff) is sort of out of bounds, so SNAFU took prevalence in this case... output file absent or the variation error 194, Finished file present, too long could be close relatives. More Dutch piglets for the techs to debug, certainly the sum seems Double Dutch to me.

That seems to be the strategy at times, if 2 fail, then try on other platform. Seen this reported for Android tasks as well.
----------------------------------------Here's another one reported, first tried on Mac and then switched to Linux. https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread_thread,42442 [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at May 26, 2020 4:44:59 PM] |
