"uploading..." for hours

Tasks that were completed over 6 hours ago - are still uploading. So the 5 cores of my Android that I've dedicated to BOINC, are empty save for 2, because I'm not being sent new tasks, because the scheduler thinkgs I don't have any finished tasks... and when I edited the device profile to enable more tasks - it's "waiting for download".

Dilemma - what do I do?

Re: "uploading..." for hours

No new tasks are assigned if the upload files number are like 2 times the running threads. Hard to see on the Android client without a transfer view.

yep. I cannot figure out what the problem is. I don't have a transfer limit... but like dang idk what to do. It's not a wifi issue - it's just uploading and downloading... ugh.

Re: "uploading..." for hours

the projects menu just says "transfers pending"
there is nothing in the event log.
If I request an update it just says "Not requesting jobs: don't need (job cache full)
All the tasks just say "waiting for download".

I don't have any other information I can provide. The BOINC app isn't giving me any information.

Re: "uploading..." for hours

Have you tried a retry on the transfers?

Re: "uploading..." for hours

multiple times. I even reset the project and lost nearly 2 days of runtime.

retry transfers doesn't do anything to the event logs, either. I'm just stuck.

Re: "uploading..." for hours

There are two things I would try.
1. Under network activity I would suspend it, wait about 2 minutes and then re-activate it.
2. I would re-boot my router.
Cheers

Re: "uploading..." for hours

wifi wasn't the issue - because I even switched to my unlimited data and turned off "wifi only" and that didn't work.

I did find a blunt solution I didn't like - but it beats the device being off crunching for any longer. Aborted all tasks, and the new tasks just transferred and ran. No clue why or how. I'll just have to wait and see if the issue reappears - like when they're finished. Wish me luck ;/
