One has 2gb RAM and has 4 tasks, the other has 3gb and has 8 tasks - that should be enough, right? There are some on both devices which are exhibiting a more normal run time of 20-25 hours predicted, so if it is RAM, it's only affecting approx 30-40% of the total tasks running on them. Chris You said you got an 8 core and a 4 core phone. Assuming they are of the Big/little architecture, Android apps can't use the Big cores. Those are only available for launching apps, but not for running them. Hence you might want to reduce the number of cores / threads in Boinc on the Android phones. I have also noticed on my A8 that allowing 4 cores causes the crunch time to increase quite a bit. Running 3 cores only, times are much better, even though the phone got 6 little cores. |
