MCM Latest News---advice for author

Hi all. I read the MCM latest news today: https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/about_us/viewNewsArticle.do?articleId=617 and I have to say I am impressed by the information, the amount of information, and the relief that MCM will continue to exist into the future.

However, I have a bit of advice for the MCM team (as well as other Projects here):

1)I am not a chemist or biology major. These articles are mumbo jumbo to me. While the current news article is full of details, there is no LAYMEN's TERMS info about the news. What did MCM achieve in this timespan? What are they hoping to achieve by Stage X? How many possible drugs can be tested with our results? What medicine has MCM directly contributed to inventing since MCM was founded? There are even questions I can't think of because I don't know what this article means.

2)It would be very interesting to know the technology (again, in relatively laymen's terms) of how they process and analyze and optimize the results. Are they using a mini-supercomputer? 1 single 5-year old Mac? What about a short video showing the day-in-the-life of the people who do all the post processing work?

3)MCM states they received additional funding which is terrific! But how much? Is there a way we can donate via Paypal or some organization? If MCM is some kind of a non-profit, many USA companies will match the donation (my company does a 1 for 1 match!).

As you can see by my stats, I love contributing to MCM and other cancer projects. But I very bummed that all the News for WCG is consistently super-technical in each given field. I beg MCM to please think from a business perspective how their news articles should read. If I want to convince 100 people to join WCG and ultimately MCM, they're going to ask me "Why choose MCM? What have they accomplished? What is the real-world benefit so far? etc."

I agree with this. But I also don't want to lose all the sciencey details. I see value in both depending on the audience and the use case.
