When will WCG get a new project? I was under the impression that WCG would allow you the option to work on many projects, that way half the team could do folding and the other half could choose another project.
Is this an incorrect understanding? |

Is there any possibilty to choose the project? For now the only project available is the proteome folding but if there will become more project available you can do this in your device profiles |

Well. Ability to choose projects will probably come around...
But for now I'm guessing that how many projects WCG can take on is limited by total processing power... As it's just started it needs to accumulate some momentum before more than one project would be practical. Proteine folding takes a -serious- amount of power, so starting multiple projects before there's processing power enough out there would slow down both projects to the meaningless. As soon as there's enough power my guess is that new projects will arrive. |
