... besides finding a Cure/Solutions here at the WCG, we can hope that we wll get something that we can all be very proud about (the Badges are fine BUT, having a real Certificate of Merit that you can place next to you other achievements and trophies will be a real Certificate of Accomplishment will be something like two pics below.
----------------------------------------Office or home, this would look awesome and YOU deserve this! Some day soon, all stats, numbers, graphs, etc WILL mean something and the Special Recognition Achievement that hope fully will FINALLY take a little time do something like this: Now that would be SOMETHING grand. Of course that above only took me 2 day of crunching. Just think what yours are going to look like. Just make sure these certificates will great in your office/home, or next to your other trophies that you are proud of. |

Certificates are not as important as an accurate and sound technical and operational support.
----------------------------------------Warm thanks to the WCG tech-team for so reliably supporting the WCG platform operation. Yves |

Certificates are not as important as an accurate and sound technical and operational support. Very true Yves, but certificates are a nice little touch that would not require much work. It would not distract the hard-working techs very long I imagine, its just an automated PDF mailed to your email address, that you choose to opt into only if you want to. Folding@home, run by Stanford U., certainly saw merit in the idea. And paper certificates can: 1. serve as a discussion starter in your office or study wall 2. Paper certificates live on long after your account has closed, due illness, death or some other reason, and if held long enough, they then become historical documents. People could start to collect them just like people collect stamps, autographs, and old stock certificates. 3. Seeing them may even get family or friends interested or motivated, and that can only benefit WCG, whose membership has been fairly static over recent years. 4. If made available online, it wouldn't even cost WCG for paper an ink, only those interested would download and print them. |
