Last night (12/4) I received two ARP WU with a deadline of 12/8. It should not be a problem crunching them on time, but what gives? I also received some due 12/11. Are they some old WU's that some wingman aborted (Shock Horror..Abort an ARP ??!!)

hmmm, can you check and see what the workunit name is? It sounds like it's a resend, and I believe those have shorter deadlines. If it has a -2 or higher at the end, then you're a resend wingman, and then you know that your machine is classified as "reliable". Congrats in that case! If it ends in -0 or -1, then we have a legit mystery on our hands! haha
----------------------------------------EDIT: I have a -2 unit that has a 7 day deadline, so maybe it's only for resends with a higher number? Still, I'd like to know what the workunit name is. Could end up being fun ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by DrMason at Dec 6, 2019 2:01:08 AM] |

Over the past week I have been getting over 12 HSTB and ARP on it. Even with the new randomized tech my other 4 machines Nil. The strange thing is I successfully crunched 70 ARP days on another machine (albet slower) by use of scheduling. Must have been too slow to rely on. Looks like I need to dedicate this comp to HSTB and ARP since it appears to be in favor. ![]() ![]() |

The reason I ask is you mention 7 days which would be 3 Days less than the normal 10 day dead line. In my case that jives with the ARP WU with a 4 day dead line. (7-3). Is a resend wingman one that mitigates conflicting results? What happens in the situation I thought was happening... One of the wingmen aborts? ![]() ![]() |

As a rule resends (tasks ending in _002, _003 etc.) are sent out for aborted tasks, tasks that errored out, or the results of the original 2 didn't match and a third was sent out to see which of those first 2 match the third. The first 2 will be labeled pending verification until the third is returned. After that 2 will be valid and one invalid. You'll still get points and time for invalid results. Hope that wasn't too confusing.

Hence my question if it was another project resend. ![]() ![]() |
