Apparently some are getting ARP. Still no new ones here.Hopefully in a little while. Well, the weather report here would call it "scattered light showers", nothing substantial to effect the end of the drought... Cheers Ralf ![]() |

Sunday Report
----------------------------------------1,978 units in generations up to and including 146 remain stuck and may have been joined by 10 from generation 147. There are 8,587 units in generation 148 and 24,998 in generation 149, which is the current generation. We are now 9% of the way through generation 149. There are now 36 units held in generation 150. 13,852 units have validated in the week, but there are 1,244,717 units to go. Based on the last 5 weeks, we would complete ARP1 on 23 December 2026, but we are getting close to where the stuck units will hold the completion up. The outstanding result for bfmorse's rogue Windows task (ARP1_0012850_148, WU 738550711) has gone No Reply and (unsurprisingly) it hasn't raised another retry.
----------------------------------------[Edit]That last one has now gone to Error so we can definitely add one to the stuck count for generation 148 :-( Cheers - Al. [Edit 1 times, last edit by alanb1951 at Jul 13, 2025 5:45:42 PM] |

It is interesting to see a windows stuck WU, and it isn't just a darwin problem. It is just more noticeable on darwin since I'm reporting them.
----------------------------------------edit: I'm keeping an eye on 2 WUs in 148 that I hope will move on even though they seem to be collecting replies that don't validate, but just spawn more tries. [Edit 1 times, last edit by Unixchick at Jul 13, 2025 5:02:03 PM] |

Unixchick - amen to the "I'm reporting them" remark :-), though I actually find the relative silence regarding other platforms [at present] fairly reassuring...
If there were significant issues for Windows or Linux there's a fair chance some of the regular posters would have seen something and posted it, as happened with this Windows example. I rather suspect there aren't many "time step" errors happening and, fortunately, we haven't had a prolonged issue with downloads (or uploads) for a while (I have lost potentially viable results to Too Late because of too many download errors amongst wingmen when it's been really bad...) It's a pity about the [as yet unexplained] Darwin issues -- hopefully it's just a case of sending them out again and hoping a non-Darwin system picks up the first task (as I presume the "time step" problem would have crashed a Darwin task and we would have recognized that!) As for some of the other cells not progressing, I [still] wonder whether the mechanism IBM built for turning out new work might not reach back far enough to see some lower-generation viable cells of the same category (especially if the system isn't being run the way IBM used to do it). What matters is that all those cells are stalled and they are falling further behind with each new generation starting. Cheers - Al. P.S. I wonder when WCG will next comment on whether/when they are going to look into stalled ARP1 cells -- for all we know they may be "on it" but I rather suspect other things [such as refactoring MAM1] have had priority. Ah, well... |

----------------------------------------I have just checked on Results Status and my ARPs (all Windows 7) have no errors. Mike [Edit 1 times, last edit by Mike.Gibson at Jul 13, 2025 6:51:17 PM] |

UG. another one for the "too late" list
https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/contribution/workunit/740069074 0018570_148 This was a long WU for me. I finish most ARP in 4 to 4.5 hours. This one was 5.8 hours for me. Not sure if that is useful info. |

Whilst none of the generations up to 124 have stuck units exceeding 2, since then most have been in double figures.
----------------------------------------However, the following generations have larger numbers: 128 has 123 stuck 133 has 175 stuck 134 has 112 stuck 139 has 730 stuck 140 has 396 stuck Since 140 they have mostly been low double figures. WU mentioned previously (on July 6th). But has now errored out on all seven WU's with various CPU and Elapsed times and showing no additional WU's scheduled or pending.
