Re: Work Available

Thank you entity. That makes up for the early 058 and pushes the target to May 2023.

Re: Work Available

Robert

That is well behind. Did they give you a deadline of only 3.5 days to help catch up? The 056 version must have had non-returns.

Re: Work Available

That will have been 3.5 days (half the usual 7 days).

Re: Work Available

Just to confirm the appearance of 060 work units -- I got three this morning (UK BST), so Robert's one is not in isolation!

Could this signal a change from the "someone saw one, then they started showing up consistently 36 hours later..." ???

Cheers - Al.

Re: Work Available

Al

The 3 digit number is the iteration. Each unit in the iteration (about 35,500 of them plus a copy of each) corresponds to a specific 3km x 3 km square of Africa. The next iteration cannot be sent until the previous iteration has been completed for that patch.

I assume that the occasional early iteration (say 058) is because they are waiting on the return of units from the previous iteration but one (say 056). Then a load of that previous iteration (056) come back so they are able to restart sending 057s.

Later the 056s dry up so they can't send 057s and so restart 058s.

If some patches start to get behind they get sent out as priority units with only 3.5 days deadline instead of the usual 7 days to enable them to catch up. This is in addition to the resends.

I hope this clarifies what happens.
