Re: Africa Rainfall Project: Badge Recognition Thread

Normally I don't care too much about these threads until I hit Sapphire (at least), however with this project needing so much tweaking/babysitting just to get any work units ... Gold

Greg

I hardly need to do any babysitting. See some of my posts under 'work avaiable'.

Re: Africa Rainfall Project: Badge Recognition Thread

Going to hit my 2Y Saphire this weekend.. Started off slow but one of my machines made excellent progress (it got over 70% of the work with quite a lot of resends). Going to shut down to give other people a chance.

On of to finish my first 20YD for MIP, 10YD SCC since it is very active, and my 5YD FAH2 and whatever HSTB I can get.

This is a great project, I like the long compute times... It looks like it will be around a good while! Good luck to all... I WILL BE BACK!

Mike Gibson Said above..... You are 100% correct vs the start, with first scheduled request for work ( I got a silver spread across 5 machines.) I then tried to apply my newly learned schedule skills to force getting work given a now random release approach.....WORTHLESS... I kept my cache low and sat back. One of my machines was "blessed" kept full of ARP which in crunched in 16 hr. It also got a lot of resends with short due dates. Recently it also got a lot of FAH2 with very short due dates which made me happy.\

I am going to get my Saphire this weekend.. So I will move on for now. Focusing on SCC and FAH2 and finishing ofF my MIP 20YD. I WILL RETURN!!!!
