Finally made it to bronze after what feels like too much micromanage.
But, full set again so: !Now back to normal random crunching and just take what the hopper serves me. |

It depends on what you mean by micromanage. In one sense I am heavily micromanaging, but have automated the process, so little work on my part now. My 8 thread i7 has me well on the way to emerald and I don't need to do anything. I have my profile set to get 8 arp, 6 mcm & 4 mip. I then have app_config set to a maximum of 4 arp, 5 mcm & 3 mip. The cache is set to 1.5 + 1.5 days. The reason for the arp numbers is that over 4 crunching slows the machine and I can have 2 consecutively and still classify as a 'reliable' machine. There is a similar problem with mip, so 3 is the maximum plus an extra to cover the upload/download period. mcm has no limitations, so is used to make up any spare capacity. mcm & mip units are readily available and are short units so downloads are requested frequently, so arp are requested frequently. At the moment, most of the time, I have at least 4 arp units, now that the supply has increased. Mike |
