I just re-attached after a long hiatus and get this message when I try to get work:
9/16/2019 9:36:41 AM | World Community Grid | Your current settings do not allow tasks from this project. To fix this, you can change Project Preferences on the project's web site. I have all projects selected in my preferences, but continue to get this message. What am I doing wrong? |

OK, which profile are you looking at? Check the profile selected for the particular device that's getting the message, here.
Have you got currently active (sub-)projects set for that type of device? (There are far fewer for Android.) You might also want to scroll down to the very bottom of the page and check how many tasks you have allowed for that/those (sub-)project(s). Save any changes that you make, then go to your device and check the Options -> Computing Preferences. (I say check here because this may be overriding what is set on the host, but you can always press the "Use web prefs" button to get the host values if you prefer.) How many days work are you storing? If all that is good, then I'm probably out of ideas. |

9 out of 10 in the past the issue seems to centre on
Allow research to run on my CPU? Yes having been set in past to No to only get GPU work. There isn't any since a long long time, i.e. the hiatus. |

I am looking at the only profile shown, the default, and the settings on it are correct. I am requesting work from any project, but see no option anywhere to limit the number of tasks. My cache is set to store five days worth of work. I can see no reason not to get work.

You have to select the 'custom' radio button to get at all the additional options. Also, do read my reply, just seconds before yours.

Lavaflow, you nailed it! I needed to specifically authorize CPU work to be done. That seems strange that that is an option on a project that has no other kind. Thank you!
