Great crunching yesterday, only 4730 points until the 1 million, which we will reach later today! Up 4 places as well!

Hi Rob If you thought that was good, wait until we hit the million milestone! delay on my side  my remote (400kms away) pcs have gone down - power outage.... they will be down until the 11th when I go to Warsaw for my weekend classes.... must find a way of getting xp to reboot and load the agent without having to log in. Any ideas?  |

must find a way of getting xp to reboot and load the agent without having to log in. Any ideas? Are you the only user on that machine? If not there are security issues, otherwise should be able to get machine to power up as soon as power comes back on (possibly in the BIOS) and XP to load straight to user profile with the agent in the startup menu |

Thanks for the prompt response all the same. Hi Rob, looks like a UPS might be your best bet. If prices in Poland are comparable to the UK they are relatively cheap. Been using one for about two years here and they have prevented lost work on several ocassions. Looks like we just passed the 1 million on points, based on the 12.00gmt results and time elapsed since. There is a special page on the webbie. |

----------------------------------------If you can get them to power up automatically when power is restored, perhaps running WCG as a service is the answer. Check out the discussion at The Extraordinarily Unofficial World Community Grid User Website. That way it would be running even though nobody had logged on to the systems yet.
