confused Server crashing after maintenance (again?)

Woke up this morning with several host stuck in uploading claiming in the logs "server out of drive space".
Web site (other than forum) first throws an "error page exception", now can't login in...

I recall that just two months ago, after another maintenance, there were similar issues.

I know its a weekend, but anyone got some insights as to what is going on? confused

Ralf

Re: Server crashing after maintenance (again?)

Usually, before some significant works on the WCG infrastructure, I increase slightly the buffer size to be able to bridge some possible (after) update/upgrade troubles.
Since everything seemed to work fine, I reduced yesterday the buffer size of my machines sad
@WCG tech team: I wish you good luck and a successful repair action!
Yves

Re: Server crashing after maintenance (again?)

The "server out of disk space" message is because the filesystem it tried to write to wasn't mounted. Due to the issue that happened, I can't bring that fs back up yet, but we have set the flags so that BOINC will gracefully back off now.

@KerSamson - thanks for the good wishes :-)

We are still experiencing issues. To keep things together, I'm going to lock this thread and ask folks to post follows up to the thread here: https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread_thread,41800
