Are the results of WCG and other distributed computing projects made public?

Like the title says, I am wondering if the results of WCG projects, or other distributed computing projects are made available to the public, or just looked at by the researchers of that particular project?

What about other projects such as Folding At Home, Rossetta@home, etc.? Are these results available to the public?

I know it may vary from one project to another. I was hoping that someone out there is familiar with this and can give me a quick list of projects that share their results, and list of projects that don't. Thanks!

Re: Are the results of WCG and other distributed computing projects made public?

If you read the World Community Grid RFP Process document (PDF) you will find this:
World Community Grid is designed as a resource for research done with a philanthropic or humanitarian purpose and will only be available to projects conducted for public and not-for-profit purposes. It will serve as a useful tool for the completion of a certain stage of research, hastening the progress of projects into further phases of development. Results must be made available to the global research community by the sponsoring research organization and remain in the public domain.

I can't speak for other grid projects as I do not participate in any of them.

I think Apis pretty much answered your question, but you can get some more info on the WCG research in the News tab (https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/about_us/displayNews.do) and filter on the "Event or Milestone", "Project Update" and the "Project Update" options. Luck.

I'm happy that WCG focuses on providing the results in the public domain where they can be used to do the most good.
