I wonder if anyone knows. - in simple terms - why we cant use any "brain" to crunch stuff. Does it not lead to good results? Or just not set up that way?

Well, there is currently no other project on WCG running on Android. Unfortunately, Rosetta@Home does not provide Android units too at the moment.
As I posted earlier this thread, I temporarily switched over to DreamLab App from Vodafone to crunch tasks for cancer projects until WCG Android WUs are available again. https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg...ead,41703_offset,0#612111 |

Seems like the work pause has started. In the past two days, the total run time and total results returned have steadily decreasing.

I forgot to mention, the graph of my Recent Average Credit is for a cheepy, Acer R13, 4-core chromebook with an ARMv8 Processor rev 2 (v81), the only thing I have crunching these days. It runs almost 2 GHz average on all four cores when WCG is running.
Apparently, it runs about 500 MHz when it's not doing anything. Cheepy, because even with hardly using its hinges except for a little adjustment every now and then, one of them broke in less than a year. Bad design, Acer. I called them up; the warranty only covers electrical failures, not physical. I suggested that an electrical failure may be considered a physical failure, so logically they ARE covering physical failures and their policy is contradictory and arbitrary. She didn't stop snickering before she said Nice Try and hung up the phone. That's when it became dedicated to crunching. @Robokapp -- That's a lot of badges. We don't need no stinkin' badges. tnx |

If you check History on each and all projects, they're all running down.
----------------------------------------I think it's more than just Zika running out of work. I'm thinking it's a more-global situation. All of the projects are running down, simultaneously. The returns are dropping. One assumes no work is being distributed. I just switched my old Windows laptop to Allow New Tasks, and I got a bunch of Mapping Cancer Markers. So WCG is not totally shut down. Maybe it's just an Android thing. [Edit 1 times, last edit by nei1 at Jul 6, 2019 4:08:03 PM] |

Nei1 what you are seeing is a half day indexed. Tomorrow you will see 7.6 as normal and 7.7 as half.

The supply ran out nearly 4 days ago. A very few resends have been sent since.
Hopefully we might get some more in about 3 days if the 1 week forecast was correct. Mike |
