All my dear friends, Thanks so much for all your support. It has been difficult for me to think about anything else but my wife these last days.
----------------------------------------Monday I was called by my wife Helena telling me that she was at the hospital properly after having suffered a mild blood clot in her brain. Her right arm could not move and she was very afraid. I was at work teaching but got a college to drive me in there. Since then she has been through a lot on examinations to find the problem and to ensure that it is not going to happen again. Today she is fine and back home but still, they haven't found the problem. She might need to take anticoagulants the rest of her life but that should not be a big problem. It´s a big wakeup call for our little family. Friday we will have the final results. Take care of each other. |

Chris, my friend.
I didn't know that ... I have not the words, just can tell : I hope all will be better for your wife, and your family, as soon as possible ! And because it's in times like that, it's important to be together, I will try to be 'secretary', and come back in Global Protection Team. One thing you have not to think. Results at day 2 : |

Chris, all my best for a speedy and full recovery for your wife.
I hope that Chemist Cruncher will regain full command of her arm - hopefully she has already and also regain trust in being healthy again so your little family can enjoy your planned vacation in Norway. Such an sudden episode can make you afraid and undermine trust in the body that once betrayed you. After my blood clot in my heart 1½ years ago, I was lucky not to lose confidence as I know many patients do and that has allowed me to live without fear. As for blood thinners, I have taken them for some 15 years because of a fairly common mutation called Leiden V (V for Roman five) that gave me a blood clot in my leg. I manage my medication myself after taking lessons and an exam by testing my blood weekly and - if necessary - regulate my warfarin dose accordingly, which is no big deal. My best thoughts to all three of you. Please let us know how it goes when you can find the time, because you have your priorities right, Chris |

Dear Chris,
----------------------------------------We don't know each other, but Stefada told me what happened. I wish your wife she will recover quickly and well, and she willn't have a problem like this again. Good luck and kisses to your wife, your son and you of course. ---------------------------------------- [Edit 1 times, last edit by Saphir12 at Jul 4, 2019 8:43:35 PM] |
