Welcome to the Forums, rulardillo
Where do you come from?
Do I understand you correctly
if I think you mean to say
that 20% of the community members
don't make their
99.803% of the contribution biggrin

I think it got lost in translation.
I think LM was trying to say it the other way round.

I think LM was trying to say 20% of contribution is done by 99.803% of the community.

Yes most people either have the odd computer that runs some of the time.
A lot of registered people don't contribute any more.
Every little helps.

Re: Existencial question?

I take some users from a post in the forum:
--->http://prntscr.com/mre19r

So I made a potential adjustment:
--->http://prntscr.com/mre5nj

And finally I made a projection:
--->http://prntscr.com/mre8l9
--->http://prntscr.com/mre9a8

The thread I wrote yesterday (Pacific Time) I just have 5 or 6 members in the sample, then the 80% of the work was the 0.1970% of the community, now that I have 17 members in the sample the number is 6.1749% for the 80% of the work.

I think if I had a bigger number of members in the sample, the number tends to be 20%, but I believe it's a smaller number.
cool

You have raised my curiosity on this point. I looked at the top 5000 individuals by all time points. This group has contributed 59.89% of the points for WCG. This 5000 represents about .66% of the total members of 758,062 all time members. So, to summarize and round off the numbers less than 1% of the all time members have contributed 60% of the points.
I would speculate the same would be roughly true for the results.
Cheers

Re: Existencial question?

And yet the beneficiaries of all this computing power continue to proclaim the fallacy of "spare computer time."
