I think I found the (non-) issue. It seems I incorrectly thought I completed some workunits, but my HSTP packages have been put on hold and pushed down the list by sneaky other projects with much shorter "Report by" dates.
Sorry for wasting your time, but a big thanks for all the response ! |

Don't worry about it -- you've learned more about WCG in the process!

That could well be Aids because its target is 1 day as opposed to TB which is 10 days. It is possible to limit the number of units that you work on, on a project-by-project basis, by changing the settings on your device profiles (left margin). Go to nearly the bottom and set the limits. Leave one project at least as unlimited so that if any of the other projects run out you will still crunch work. Mike |

My client kept pulling jobs from WCG projects I deselected, even after disabling the "If there is no work available for the project(s) I have selected above, please send me work from another project." option. I limited the units of deselected projects to 1 in my device profile, did a reset, and now they still get a cpu core, but only one, which leaves most processing power free for the projects I actually selected. Thank you for directing me to that option, something new to play with :) I wish all Internet communities were as positive and helpful ![]() |

Interesting! I've never seen this behavior. Usually if you untick the "If there is no work available...." checkbox, it respects that setting. It's very possible you have different device profiles that override your default profile.

My device profile had the same selections as the WGC "My Projects" tab. 3 projects are disabled, but keep I keep getting jobs for them.
First I thought my settings were not communicated to the client, but it correctly followed my instructions when I limited those project's jobs to maximum 1. |

If what you're saying is true, then this is a bug in WCG's implementation of BOINC and not user error on your part. Nobody should be getting work units for projects that they have not explicitly selected, assuming all device profile settings also have the "If there is no work available for the project(s) I have selected above, please send me work from another project." setting unchecked. I wish there was a way to @tag or PM users on this ancient forum, since this needs to be escalated to those who can look into it.

@SPTRI - I just checked and both your My Projects page and your Device Profile settings show you set to receive work from all of our projects.
Can you change your settings back to what you had them when you were getting work from projects that you didn't want and then check to see if you get new work from those projects? If you do see the issue again, then please do not change any settings on the website or on your client and contact us via the support email address at support@worldcommuntiygrid.org. Please send us your entire log file along with the email and we will investigate further. |

Yes, I re-enabled them because TB work was starting to drop and I didn't want to run out of work. I'll disable the other projects again, give it a few days and come back to you.
Have a very nice day, |
