Survivalism can start as a concern but soon will become a cool hobby that can give you a start in very useful skills and knowledge. It is actually relaxing and de-stressing to get some control (or at least the illusion of control for some) and talk with interesting people. You can learn about many fields and subjects and have fun with a community of knowledgeable (and a few even experienced) people that can help you to find your legs in this activity.
