Any feelings about those cryptocurrency connected with volunteer computing?

Any feelings about those cryptocurrency connected with volunteer computing?

Examples:
Cryptocurrency connected with World Community Grid:
Gridcoin
Cryptocurrency connected with Folding@Home:
Curecoin

I haven't take a look at gridcoin, but I have registered for Curecoin several days before, and found it shabby.

Any feelings about such altcoins is welcomed.

No feelings at all...other than you can get (slightly) reimbursed for the trouble of crunching. If it helps? :D

Don't know...

I have two computers(both Celeron G1610, I'd say those are pure garbage) running F@H for one month, all I got is ~0.059CURE(~$0.0037)...

F**k me, I think that's a reason good enough to make someone quit the game, do you? biggrin

For what's it's worth, based on some experience of mixing money with volunteer work...

**** me, I think that's a reason good enough to make someone quit the game, do you?

Number one: Keep it clean. There is no reason to use that kind of language here.
Number two:: Volunteering is intrinsically an altruistic activity done to benefit others rather than yourself.
Thank you for your contribution.
Cheers

Re: Any feelings about those cryptocurrency connected with volunteer computing?

when they were giving out ripples, i got like 400 bucks out of it... i've been crunching since 01 at united devices, then wcg since 05. I'll crunch without coins or with. Now if i had SAVED my ripples and sold em at the high I would have made like $8000. That woulda built a heck of a cruncher!
