I am planning on attending to represent my team, TechPowerUp. I would like to go as an amateur reporter and take pictures and get short interviews with some of the speakers.
I asked TPU's boss, W1zzard, if he would give me a press pass. He asked if You all would need any accreditation. So, I am asking, If I have a Press Badge, issued by TPU, can it be used for access, for short interviews? I would like to post updates for our WCG team, about the event. Many of my Teammates, would like to attend but, can't. Since I am going, I would like to update them. Thanks, Richard C. |

You will not need a formal press pass to conduct written interviews, but you will need to have something in writing that explains to whoever you'd be interviewing what the purpose is, how the interview content will be used, where will it get published, etc. i.e. the interviewee needs to know what they're agreeing to by being interviewed. If you are intending to record the interviews on video, you would need special permissions from the IBM office. Thank you for your support, ErikaT |

Thanks for the update ErikaT! I've been interested to know what the itinerary would look like. I'm planning to attend and am curious if as a volunteer you're expecting/interested-in volunteers making presentations?
