I'm sorry if I've missed this in other forum posts, but I'm trying to understand why one of my hosts is getting the "This computer has finished a daily quota of 5 tasks" message. Right now, it's polling only for HST tasks and has received three. Yet, it repeatedly gets that message every time it requests new tasks. When I set its preferences to request new tasks from sub-projects other than HST, that message doesn't appear.

IIRC this quota is per project and implies work units have errored (or aborted) so limit is on until units returned and validated OK. A new PC may also get this.

IIRC this quota is per project and implies work units have errored (or aborted) so limit is on until units returned and validated OK. A new PC may also get this. Thanks, Paul. I thought about that, but this host has returned no errors, invalids, aborts, etc., recently, and it's not a new PC. |

With the new day, I'm not getting the daily quota message anymore and I've gotten a few new tasks. Not a big concern anymore, but it would be nice to know why -- for this one host -- I was getting that message even though it hadn't gotten 5 tasks nor reported any result that was bad.

The daily quota should increase for each returned task and again for vaildated but decrease for each invalid or error.
----------------------------------------There have been reports of quota messages when not expected, i.e. no visible error or invalid work units on result pages, certainly not to the extent of causing reset down to 5. Hard to diagnose as need to get techs eyes on it quickly. Paul.
