Just saw:
We will be applying an important operating system update to our servers on Tuesday, August 21, beginning at 14:00 UTC. We anticipate that the work will take approximately four hours. During this time, volunteers will not be able to upload or download new work, and the website will not be accessible. Volunteers will not need to take any particular action, as your devices will automatically retry their connections after the maintenance work is completed. I am getting a 403 Forbidden at URL (https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/addpost) when trying to reply or preview reply to this specific thread:

I have no clue what's wrong, it's really weird and it's that one thread it seems. Not sure if this is related to the maintenance or not... Edit: it's also sporadic, which makes me think it's one (or more) nodes behind a load balancer; I was able to get the Preview to work just now, I edited my test, then tried Preview a second time and it failed with a 403 Forbidden again. Probably hitting different backend servers is my guess and one of them isn't right in the head. Edit 2: logged out, deleted all cookies for *.worldcommunitygrid.org (about 8 of them), restarted Firefox, logged back in and it's still that thread going 403 - I can use this thread fine it seems, I just can't get a reply working on that thread [Edit 2 times, last edit by xithryx at Aug 25, 2018 5:10:26 PM] |

I can't reproduce the problem you have, and I think it's pretty unlikely that the techs will see it buried here. I suggest you start a new thread outlining your problem. However, as it's weekend (and Monday is a holiday in my part of the world, don't know about the US) it may be a while before anyone takes a look. |
