The client does not connect to the Internet

I do not see the available jobs and processing is not started.

I am guessing you are able to access the net on the machine, just that BOINC does not communicate to WCG. Do you have anything configured strange in the network tab of computing preferences on BOINC?

Go to your local BOINC account and Click Options->computing preferences. Under the Network tab, look to see if there is anything strange selected in there. Also look in the Activity tab on the main screen if BOINC is set to suspend network activity.

What version of BOINC are you running? 7.12.1 was just released, so maybe a fresh install of BOINC may cure whatever issue you are having. The "Official" WCG version is painfully old, so maybe there is an issue there. Just go to https://boinc.berkeley.edu/download.php and download from there. Hopefully that helps.

The 1st screenshot doesn't have a username/team info on it. Does it work differently for byteball?

WCG needs the username, not email like every other BOINC project.

There's noting wrong with the Internet connection. At 14:09:37 it completed a scheduler request so it was talking to the project and got a response from the project. Couldn't add host record to the database is a whole different issue. Is it still happening? Normally, the client displays the "BOINC can't access the Internet..." message after doing a ping to www.google.com and not getting an answer.
