Hi Ryan, Welcome to WCG
If you have just registered the agent (typed in username and password) and it has downloaded something (about 5MB or slightly less) then all should be working fine. If it's not post back and we will try to help. If you're saying that you did this 3 days ago and you're still showing no run time then there would appear to be a problem - let us know. |

Hello Ryan Toler,
comp_interrlz has pointed out the two main pages to check: Minimum Requirements at http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/help/viewTopic.do?shortName=minimumreq Agent Paused at http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/cause.html Also, the Human Proteome Folding Project uses about 200 MB of Virtual Memory, so make sure you do not have a small fixed-size virtual memory. [By default, Windows 98 allows the OS to choose the needed virtual memory size, but there are commands that let the user select a maximum size.] On a slightly different topic, I always recommend that people have 3 different types of security programs on their computers: 1) Firewall 2) Anti-virus 3) Anti-spyware We list some freeware programs in the 'Useful Utilities' thread at http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread?thread=2490 Please tell us more about your situation, mycrofth |
