so Byteball = Byteball + Gridcoin + Boid.com (another platform like Biblepay) all in 1 team
----------------------------------------It's not even a challenge. Just give Byteball the trophy and wait till next year. |

Actually it would be more like the equation:
----------------------------------------Gridcoin = Gridcoin + Byteball + Boid.com + King's Distributed (BiblePay last I checked black listed Gridcoin and ByteBall teams from partaking in the PoDC) At least from what I'm reading. But, the same could be said about BiblePay BiblePay = BiblePay + Byteball + King's Distributed And this isn't including NEUMANNIUM (ANN) ByteBall doesn't require you to be on their team to get rewards. Just to get the bonus. However, Gridcoin does require it and Boid appears to be crunching for Gridcoin. I could be wrong as they are pretty new to me. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by Coleslaw at Nov 10, 2018 7:46:31 PM] |

I gotta say that I'm really disappointed in this..
----------------------------------------So, for those of us that have a bunch of Android devices, this really kicks us in the nuts as they would count as host even though they don't earn that much. Anyone with virtual machines or using the multi-client approach will also be severely punished even though their physical host count may not be that high. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by Coleslaw at Nov 19, 2018 9:02:12 PM] |

+1
----------------------------------------@Byteball: And how do you know how many devices a user has? Please don't tell me you're looking at Boincstats. And what kind of diminishing returns are you talking about? 20%? 50%? My "hosts" showing 86, but if you look carefully it's actually only 12 has high credit, which is the actual hosts are running. The rest was VMs I created to bunker for the birthday challenge. Anyone had been involved with bunker knows this. If I had 86 hosts, your team won't be in the #1 spot of the challenge lol Ok so you're saying Starting Nov 20, anyone who has more than 40 devices connected will see a drop off in Bytes rewarded for the devices above 40 How do you determine which device is connected? And you're still paying CharityEngine3, Byteball_02553110 in full amount? lmao Byteball_02553110 had over 100 hosts https://wcg.report/204--2018-11-19%2012:08:38.html ---------------------------------------- [Edit 2 times, last edit by VietOZ at Nov 19, 2018 11:12:04 PM] |

My Byteball distribution dropped by half today. I have 93 listed devices but only 14 active. The Mac Mini and Athlon XP I used in 2004 when I first joined WCG on day one have been retired for about 10-12 years. Many of those 93 are the same machine. An OS change will show as a new machine. But the old one remains on the list. I am at the most active machines ever and still only 14 active.
You are punishing the most dedicated and longest serving contributors. |

mine suppose to be $45 but I got $11. And it's not even the 20th yet
----------------------------------------My question is, why are there people being penalized and the 2 biggest points producer on your team are not? Don't tell me they have less than 40 hosts ![]() |

Sadly, I'm in the same boat. I went from ~1.5-2GB to 0.1GB. My hosts are showing 901 but less than 20 are actually active. The rest is from old machines, machines being reinstalled, etc. Sadly WCG doesn't allow us to remove these ones. I guess I have no choice but to create a new account.
