Thank you KLiK for thinking of us women
Unfortunately, apart from yourself, only cjslman thought a greeting on March 8 was appropriate. Thank you, cjslman I remember spending one March 8 in what was Leningrad at the time. It was a holiday, most had the day off from work, and I far as I could tell, it more or less resembled Valentine’s Day there with flowers and chocolate to the degree these were available. Now, KLiK, I don’t know whether you’re old enough to remember how March 8 was celebrated in Croatia before the breakup of Yugoslavia. Were you serious about it? In Western Europe it has not been celebrated in earnest except for maybe in communist/socialist oriented communities. I know Upstairs Yvonne celebrates it each year. March 8 was the day her divorce went into effect You mention ’our day’ which I read as some 'Men’s Day' and you are eager for us women not to forget our men on that day. We women think about our men all the time, but can you give us a date when we should think even more about them? Then we'll mark it in our calendar |

Now, KLiK, I don’t know whether you’re old enough to remember how March 8 was celebrated in Croatia before the breakup of Yugoslavia. Were you serious about it? Well, soon I'll reveal my identity...so you will know my age! But I do remember...everybody was giving women those flowers, don't know the english word for it, we call it "karanfil". Anyway, it was celebrated, but mostly with presents. Like today's. Except people we're a lot lazier & still got plenty to live. For example, on this 08th of March I came with 8 tulips for all the girls on the floor of company I work in. But that's just what gentlemans do! You mention ’our day’ which I read as some 'Men’s Day' and you are eager for us women not to forget our men on that day. We women think about our men all the time, but can you give us a date when we should think even more about them? Then we'll mark it in our calendar You woman are good with dates, so write down 19th of Nov. |

That would be carnations, KLiK
Being an avid word gamer I use the English Wictionary all the time. Surprisingly, it covers not only English but all languages in all of the world, also Croatian, plus a lot I never heard of. I made a note of International Men’s Day I never heard of it before, so thank you for educating me How should women help you celebrate that? Do you men have any favorite flowers? |

Actually, was just going out. So no time to search dictionary in another tab! ;)
----------------------------------------Well, you have to figure that all by yourself...like we have to for Women's day. :D |
