Hello,
I am getting Computation Error on the running tasks when I restart my computer.  I am using BOINC 7.8.3 |

This has been mentioned before. The solution I have found is to exit BOINC, wait about 10 seconds and then shut down the computer. Then when you restart, the work units should pick up where you left off.

I think the problem is not present on 7.2.47. right? I installed 7.2.47. There is no problem I think.

If I know that my PC needs a reboot, I try and make sure that I have no MIP WUs either running or downloaded.

I believe the problem is with the MIP work units and not the version of BOINC. I have had problems with BOINC V7.6 and V7.8.3.
The solution above to close BOINC from within boincmgr and then shut down the PC works. |

The official supported version by WCG is 7.2.47. And I don't have the problem any more with the official WCG BOINC Client.

I created a program to workaround this problem .
Executable file is available here, it requires .Net Framework 4.6. |
