Hello,
----------------------------------------if I want to add a PC to my account then I can enter my username and password in the Boinc client and authentication will not return an error.However, the Boinc Client neither displays my account name nor the information about the points achieved so far. The fields remain empty. Also, the PC is not displayed on the WCG homepage under my Account. It also receives no tasks. Removal and re-adding I tried several times. Unfortunately, there is no change to this. But if I write the user name or the password incorrectly, as a test, then I receive an error message. As described, this happens when I want to add WCG to a machine that is already running Boinc with other projects.

Based on what I saw when I googled the problem, there might be something on WCG's end which needs fixing in their host database file. Perhaps the techs could weigh in on this. It is the weekend so it might be Monday before it is fixed.

10-Feb-2018 17:10:52 [World Community Grid] Couldn't create host record in database it seems like a WCG only issue but still could be fixed on client side I got the same error today on a testing machine and the most possible reason was a hostname with a non-Latin characters (cyrillic, scandinavian or so)... BOINC connected to WCG as normal after removal of russian part of the hostname - that's working for me not at first time so it would be great to add this to FAQ or fix it at server/dbms side |

Hello!
Just got a new and used pc and connected it to several projects with out any issues! Next project up was WCG , and got no wu , only the message "Couldn't create host record in database" After some restarts and reinstallations the issue did not go away! Next up was to search help and Google is still your best friend!!
