I was looking at our team averages and believe There is something a little out of whack with the figures. For Minnesota Crunchers as of today (Jan.3, 2018) our averages per the website are listed as:
---------------------------------------- We have 4180 days of results since we started. As I calculate the average points per day I get 4,447,598,458/4180=1,064,018.77. For the results I get 9,535,709/4180=2281.27 For the average time per day I get 20,665,640.02 seconds which is 0:239:04:27:20 These are the easiest to calculate, but my figures are all greater than the figures on the website. Am I missing something ? Is there an error in my figures or in how WCG calculates these averages ? I haven't bothered to check any other teams, but I could. Perhaps some other interested individuals could check their own team stats or perhaps one of the techs could weigh in on an explanation. Thanks in advance. Cheers

I make the number of days since the team was formed to be 4449 Pete I think you may have hit on the correct conclusion. I had not thought about the fact that in the beginning there were a number of days when no work units were returned. So we only had 4180 days with returned work units out of a total number of days of 4449. Now that you mention this, it makes complete sense. Edit: If I had been thinking with more than 3 brain cells at a time I should have noticed this myself. Thanks Cheers

Edit: If I had been thinking with more than 3 brain cells at a time I should have noticed this myself. Thanks Cheers This should fix that problem.  or maybe a large fire to fend off the cold.   |
