BOINC versions

Hi,

Sorry if this has been asked before, I searched but could not find the answer.

Would it be better to use the version of BOINC for OSX, 7.8.4, from the Berkeley site, or is this somehow different to the older one linked from wcg, 7.2.42?

Thanks!

Re: BOINC versions

Welcome to WCG.

The WCG version is OK for WCG and many other projects.
Some projects may require later versions of BOINC, as may later versions of OSX or Windows.

The WCG version has been checked by IBM and declared fit for use on their office corporate build.
A later version may be validated if newer facilities are required by a future WCG application.

Paul.

I am always using the latest version from Berkeley site. It is especially highly recommended if you are running High Sierra.
